024 Reading - Light For Your Path
Listen to this Devotional
Thus says the Lord Yahweh: For this, moreover, will I be inquired of. {Ezekiel 36:37}
You don't have, because you don't ask. {James 4:2}
"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." {Matthew 7:7, 8} This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. {1 John 5:14, 15} If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. {James 1:5} Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. {Psalms 81:10} (You) must always pray, and not give up. {Luke 18:1}
Yahweh's eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.{Psalms 34:15, 17} You will ask in my name; and I don't say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me ... Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. {John 16:26, 27, 24}

The blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel. {Hebrews 12:24}
"Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! {John 1:29} From the foundation of the world ... the Lamb who has been killed. {Revelation 13:8} It is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, "Sacrifice and offering you didn't desire, but you prepared a body for me. By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. {Hebrews 10:4, 5, 10} Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. Yahweh respected Abel and his offering. {Genesis 4:4} Christ ... loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance. {Ephesians 5:2}
Let's draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water. {Hebrews 10:22} Having ... boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus. {Hebrews 10:19}

When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. {Proverbs 3:24}
A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled. (Jesus) himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. {Mark 4:37, 38}
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. {Philippians 4:6, 7}
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.{Psalms 4:8} He gives sleep to his loved ones. {Psalms 127:2}
They stoned Stephen as he called out, saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" He kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, "Lord, don't hold this sin against them!" When he had said this, he fell asleep. {Acts 7:59, 60} Absent from the body ... at home with the Lord. {2 Corinthians 5:8}

021 Reading - Light For Your Path
Listen to this Devotional
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. {Psalms 97:11}
Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves. {Psalms 126:5, 6}
That which you sow, you don't sow the body that will be.
{1 Corinthians 15:37}
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been put to grief in various trials, that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. {1 Peter 1:3, 6, 7}

Listen to this Devotional
The day of the trial in the wilderness. {Hebrews 3:8}
Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin. {James 1:13-15}
They gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland. {Psalms 106:14}
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry. The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread." {Luke 4:1-3}
He himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted. {Hebrews 2:18} "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat, but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn't fail." {Luke 22:31,32}

Adam ... became the father of a son in his own likeness. {Genesis 5:3}
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? {Job 14:4} Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me. {Psalms 51:5}
Dead in transgressions and sins; by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. {Ephesians 2:1, 3} I am fleshly, sold under sin. For I don't know what I am doing. For I don't practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do. For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. {Romans 7:14, 15, 18}
Sin entered into the world through one man ... through the one man's disobedience many were made sinners. {Romans 5:12, 19} If by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. {Romans 5:15}
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. {Romans 8:2}
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. {1 Corinthians 15:57}

You are my refuge in the day of evil. {Jeremiah 17:17}
Many say, "Who will show us any good?" Yahweh, let the light of your face shine on us. {Psalms 4:6} I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress. {Psalms 59:16}
I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved." I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication: "What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth? Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper." {Psalms 30:6, 8-10}
"For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you. In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you," says Yahweh your Redeemer. {Isaiah 54:7, 8} Your sorrow will be turned into joy. {John 16:20} Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. {Psalms 30:5}

God created man in his own image. {Genesis 1:27}
Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold, or silver, or stone, engraved by art and design of man. {Acts 17:29}
God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.{Ephesians 2:4, 5, 10} For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.{Romans 8:29}
We know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is. {1 John 3:2} I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.{Psalm 17:15}
He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son. {Revelation 21:7} If children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ. {Romans 8:17}
